TINIE TEMPA - PASS OUT VIDEO! SURPRISE MUTHATRUKA...

Blatantly I'm not the first one to blog this track. That said I'm not really jacking it either. Some Pr guy emails me not five minutes ago about, oh add this to your playlist, no please thank you, nothing. So I'm think, ahem, lets have a butchers. Ok , not that anything from my man has been whack, actually Tinie is always on form, but bwoy, if PR don't know how to entice then what you paying them for?

That said, I bothered to click on the free download (yesssirre! actually I don't know if its free for everyone cause the link I went to was public, but I'm not going to post that up for fear of doing some huge f'up!).

The 2nd verse is my favourite, (*drive past the bus I used to run for*, btw I'm still running just waiting for that day to come init!). And watch out for the little twist at the end. For the Hip Hop genre its flipped from, the choice of that last cut was defiantly a good one.

BUS A BUS: WORLD GO ROUND!

This is the brand new joint from Busta Rhymes ft the ever ecclectic Estelle.

On a real, no ass kissing, the man is deffinately back on true form after a few flop releases. No names. I'm really liking this joint and the funny lyrics and crazy flow is something I think will go down well in the clubs.

The video is directed by Jason Goldwatch who has worked with a few other hip hop names such as Dilated Peoples and Ludacris, to name but a few. Sick is an understatement. Visually stunning, perfect editing and a great use of effects and cut sequences to meld one whole piece together.

Now some insider info you may not know. If you listen closely you will hear that the beat sounds very similar to a great classic. And your right. It sounds dangerously similar to Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics. And you wouldn't be wrong in assuming this. Basically what happened was, a talented artist by the name of Mamie Gun was the first owner of this actual beat for her remake of Sweet Dreams, but the exec's thought they would make more money by selling the piece off to Busta Rhymes who also loved it when he got a copy through the post. Funny how the insider dealings work out huh! Well lets hope Mamie gets her dues because this is one track that I'll be playing for a while in my clubs.

enjoy!

BEYONCE BRAND NEW VIDEO...

This is the new video and single from the queen of RnB. Seriously, this beat is totally stonking, lie? I know you're gonna go a little frazzled when she does her little sexy Krumping in that short black dress, major! What don't I like? Nothing..

Written and produced by Beyonce, with a little help from her friends James Scheffer, Wayne Wilkins and my man Rico Love (what a name to be born with!). If you don't know who any of these people are, don't worry, they make enough money not to care about fame.

* Seriously I cannot get enough of this single, somebody please help!!

DWELE TRIBUTE TO MJ

There's nothing I can say about this tribute other than, watch it till the end.

ERIKI-MA REMIX - WHEN LOVE TAKES OVER + ALL FREE REMIX DOWNLOADS!

Just finished it not a few hours ago. It feels like it took a lifetime to get it just right.

Enjoy. Oh, and do me a fav, spread the word if you think its worth it, we need all the help we can get.

* If you want a FREE copy of this or the 'I Got A Feeling' remixs email me at makememusicuk@hotmail.com, with the title and 'freedownload' as subject and I will be doing mass emails every two days. I have to do it this way so that they don't take down my video's.

BASS IN THE BEDROOM

As you may already be aware a lot of the new top producers both in the UK and around the world are actually coming out of their bedroom studio's with some of the most ground breaking and future sounds imaginable. Just 10 years ago this would have been impossible, but with the advance's in technology and software, these guys are taking advantage of the new digital age and going where no 808 has gone before.

Courtesy of BBC 1Xtra

Bless Beats produced the hit Wearing My Rolex for Wiley from his basic bedroom studio.

In Bedroom Beats 1Xtra's Twin B visits his home studio to find out how.

We also hear from students in Manchester who're learning how to make beats and a host of bedroom producers including Floating Points, Mala, Toddla T, Bullion, Goldielocks, Eric Lau, Paul White, DJ IQ and Plastician, to find out how and why they've given up their beds to make beats.

BEFORE I DIE I WANT THIS TO BE THE LAST THING I HEAR

RAUL MIDON

Tonight at the Jazz Cafe in Camden see's the incredible talent of Raul Midon grace our shore's with his amazing talent. The blind guitarist (who also plays various other instruments including the drums) has stolen the show over seas and tonight we get to see what all the fuss is about.

Playing a mixture of Jazz and soul infused funk with latin vibes, Raul Midon (New-Mexico born, New York Based) has turned into a breath of fresh air for acoustic music lovers around the world.

"I like to celebrate the possible, the highest, the best of possibilities for human beings," says Midon

I've got my ticket and jacket pressed, see you there.

THE BEST TUNE YOU WILL HEAR THIS YEAR THUS FAR

I can't believe how sick this tune is. I lost the plot!

Diplo and Switch are the sick producer/ DJ's who got together for M.I.A's 'Paper Planes'.

With their new monica Major Lazer, they took the biscuit ( I have no idea if thats how biscuit is spelt. Do you even think that word has even featured in a book of any kind? Apart from the Nestle family cook book).

Some of you may remember their set on the BBC1 Annie Mac show. I still can't get over it to be honest.

If your local DJ is not playing 'Hold The Line' right now give me a buzz and I'll come sort him out for ya! BRAP...

P.s Ft Mr Lex and Santigold

* Note, this is the actual video and not some cheap 'here's one I made earlier' youflop.

* Remember where you heard this first. If not I will have to call you out on your FaceBook or blog post date's, watch yourself!

I HATE ADDICTIVE RNB SINGLES MADE FOR 13 YEAR OLD GIRLS THAT END UP IN THE TOP TEN, WHICH IS A SHOCK BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS A COPY

This is one such example. Remember Mishon because in about six months, him and Mario are going to be doing some serious music video battling. Oh, and FYI, Chris Brown lost in the semi finals.

LMFAO

You've heard of LMFAO, David Rush, Pitbul and Kevin Rudolf right? well here's what happened after they all bumped into each other randomly at Nando's.

SEAN PAUL - BRAND NEW 'SO FINE'

The annoying thing about Sean Paul is that I dont remember him ever making a rubbish track, not once. Thats annoying because it means he's on heavy rotation, all the time.

Now I've gone and made things worse.

The new single 'So Fine' is a very good look for summer clubbing if you know how you use what your momma gave ya.

D.O.A

So the music video is finally here.

Enjoy!

I'M A SUPRA STAR

These days its hard getting that sick pair of high tops that not only look great but feel... hold on, thats all it needs to do.

Romeo dun.

Check more loveliness from Supra.

* Females - Wet look leggings, an Era cap and any one of these and you're good!

LAST NIGHT A DJ INVITED ME IN FOR TEA AND CRUMPETS

These are the amazing new coffee table and side table furnishings from Bug House. How much do you think I would get for one kidney on the Black market?

The two coffee tables with the turn table and mixer image transferred onto it are so retro and imaginative you'd be a fool not to consider spending some hard earned cash on it. Even if your not a DJ or own a studio (you're going to see these in every one) they would sit perfectly in a stylish home (city boys, don't jack what was made for us, wasteman!). The wood grain seeping into the transfer is also a very nice touch to the finish.

You can't also help but love the side table made to look like a stack of vinyls. If like me you grew up collecting and you have a girlfriend who wouldn't mind you having one, get it before she decides it doesn't match the new bookshelf from Ikea and changes her mind.

AMERWHO?

I have a like and hate with this one. Firstly the lyrics. They are crap, no hate, they just are. Listen. I mean really listen, then actually write them out and then realise who much of a waste of your time that was. Now consider someone handing them in to a record company and then getting paid thousands of pounds for that work. Now try and see if you will actually want to legally download it.

Didn't think so.

The beat is actually quite nice, very samey in terms of the things she has put out before, but it's still got rotation potential.

And lastly, is it me or does Amerie only sing in one key?

* The culture of illegal downloads is not supported by Make Me Music. It's stealing. That said, if a tune is not worth it you can always watch for free online or wait for radio to play it over and over and over and over, till your head caved in and you threw your speakers out the window.

I FINK I SHMELL A COPICAT!

Now then, I know what you're gonna say. Has she been listening to too much M.I.A???

Yes.

Shame.

Because you have to get over that fact before you then say, hmm, aint so bad actually. And that takes about six hours.

And just so you know, I'm not feeling Wale too tuff. You rep yourself way too much mate. If Wiley don't get away with it, then you don't, period! I really don't care about your money, I got my own problems in life. Just give me a beat I can bounce to and some clever bars to impress, not weak rhymes about your glory. Waste!!

IT'S A BIRD, IT'S A PLANE

New single and video from one of UK's finest, Wretch 32.

Wretch has been a very busy boy of late. New album, new single and a new clothing line. Ok, maybe the clothing side isn't the most original and outstanding stuff compared with some of the other underground 'nitch' brands such as 'Trapstar' and 'Dope Chef Currency', but everyone has to start somewhere right?

Anyways, this is his new single. It's not like I'm getting paid to post it up, I just like it! Simple's

V.O.T.D

Don't lie to me, you didn't know who he was till Gnarls Barkely came out ( or Danger Mouse before 'The Grey Album'), you've never heard of Goodie Mob have you?

The ever afrocentric Cee-Lo Green.

And why is this my video of the day? Because I woke up to it and screamed it down the phone to the first five people who called at stupid o'clock.

MIXED RACE RELATIONS

I saw this today and she's so right, who care's. I know we can debate for hours, and everyone has an opinion on it, but simple truth is, we're all human therefore we're all family.

Colour in music should be about as irrelevant as shoe size. We all know it isn't, but it should be. I for one am glad that not all the best hip hop producers/ artists are black. The same goes for all things funky.

Open your mind and your heart will follow.

J2'O'K

Some of you may remember Roll Deep. I know, its been a while, they been around still, but you might have had to either look under some very heavy rocks or travel to one of those gigs your mates wont go to because Damian's car is on the blink and they aint doing the coach ting again till Ayia Nappa.

I have to be honest J2K wasn't really given the space to shine in the past. Blame certain 'ahem' producers (no hate). But now he's back with a very very nice video and a track with bars to match. The thing I like about J2K now is the fact that he's grown nicely (artistically... plonker) and his flow has improved. I mean, people don't know how hard it is to come from a Garage and Grime background and sound unique. It's hard trusss. Many Mc's have tried and failed to cross over into the mainstream, well 'underground main' as I like to call it. The track still has bounce and gulliness and I think it might just do ok after Ras Kwame has given it the four times over.

Don't sleep on this brea. He's not my boy, I don't know him from Adam, so your guaranteed its all impartial over this fence.

* Realease date for 'Wake Up' Ep is July 13th

Also check out Ben Peters, music video director. Very naughty stuff! If you're an artist looking to get that bizzle on your next video, pass him the pre tax funds and you'll get sorted...

WHITE CHICKS AND GANG SIGNS

We've all seen the video, some of you even peed you pants, but the message is clear, commit to it and it will look good!

DC Shoes x Standard - Admiral Hightop

And what???????

YOU DONT HAVE TO LOOK GOOD TO BE MY DJ

The best thing about David Guetta is that (speaking as a man) you can introduce him to your girl and you wouldn't have to fear about her falling for him instead of you, no matter how good his tunes are. I've been a secret fan of his for a while. I say secret because he wasn't always the king of cool and he was mostly known more overseas than in the UK or the States. And he's French.

He's current new single features Kelly and is already topping the charts. Ok, its been out for a while and I've just been lazy and concentrating on the hip hop and UK scene for too long, sorry.

As well as the new single 'When Love Takes Over' I'm also going put one of my other fav.s 'Tomorrow Can Wait' for you too, because I'm that type of guy.

BEATEN BY A GURL!!

My mate Jo has a blog and its very good. I'm nicking this from her. And the worst thing is I cant think of anything more punchy than her outtro liner...

Nike RT1 High 2009

very nice!

BROTHERLY LOVE

Where were you last night? Where were you when it mattered? Where were you when Little Brother came to town and showed us how to get down?

Jazz Cafe, Camden, sold out, Shay hooked mans up with a runaway ticket cause my boy had his car a little beat up and got stuck in his sticks and couldn't make it. I know I said I wouldn't say nothing on the blog but gosh, its such a sad story I had no choice.

LB came through to London last night to say happy born day to Spin Doctor (who btw was blessing us nicely on the wax). There was a support act on before they came on which I managed to catch the last few tracks from. To be honest they weren't really saying a lot and the fact they didn't know (and asked the crowd) what the capital of Hong Kong [there isn't one, its a part of China now and isn't its own country] or Bangkok [it IS the capital of Thailand] was, was not a good look for black people. A bit like when a white bredrin asked me, 'what's the capital of Africa?', waste! (Btw that actually happened, they'll probably be a bit miffed cause I told em I wouldn't out that story again for kicks, but it had to be done).

LB stormed through their big ones, did the (now obligatory) MJ tribute which turned out to be a lot less cheesy and more genuine then other's I have witnessed over the past few days. I was looking down from upstairs (obviously) and I have to say, for a duo who know they already got the love from the crowd, they do work hard to keep the energy flowing. It was super hot in there, I was sweating out like, and they, well, they did not stop moving and jumping and showing my how unfit I was, cheers. Now when Madlib came to Fabric not long ago, everyone was saying how he was too self-indulgent and it put them off the show. LB on the other hand make it always about the music and are on no 'I'm the big boy' flexes. Nice!

They are off around Europe for a bit and then I think they are back in the State's for some studio sessions and album promotional thingamajigs.

If you managed to get a freebie or a signed album on the night, congrats to you, but watch your back, yeh.

LYRICAL PLAYER PRO'S

I was going to just post my favourite, but then I thought, no chance, so here's the youtube rip of the album you can listen to.

No links needed because you should already know about it... and if you don't, then you should feel very foolish right about now.

Go buy the album, but just don't discuss it with me if you catch me out and about or I'll have to expose your lack of knowledge son!

HOW FRESH CAN YOU GET?

G FRSH, TINIE TEMPAH and DENIRO (not pictured) have come together for this outstanding new UK track 'Afar'. Riding on a Sleepz beat and coupled with the handy film work of Jak Frsh, the whole package has come together very nicely.

Basically, they spit like they mean it and it's dark and moody like sex...

"The DJ's playing funky but she's got me in a trance"

* Also, allow giving you the Sleepz and Jak links, if you don't know your going to have to do your own research, chiiieef!

V.O.T.D

Mr Green aka Professor Green doing his UK Hip Hop community service, minus a smile and 'have a nice day'. After surviving a stupid bottle to the neck incident in Cargo (ironically just near his 'Lucky' Tattoo (go figure) my man has hit the ground running with another lyrical gem of a track. Far be it from me to kiss arse and get 'Gordon' on my tongue but you have to listen closely to the way he puts the bars down.

Don't get it twisted, he's not the only one to watch from the UK, but so far, he's the only one whose made my VOTD!!

Btw, great concept!

TOGETHER U-N-I CAN DO ANYTHING

Tonight at YO YO (Nottinghill Arts Club), the hip hop/ rock hop duo U-N-I come to show case their art for the London massive. If you don't know nothing about them this is a good time to get acquainted.

My favourite track from them is their way back single Beautiful Day.

Beautiful Day

Black Eyed Peas vs Eriki-Ma

This is what happens when you don't sleep. It took 16 hours to get all the sections just right, 5 hours to mix and make sure the synth didn't blow any speakers. At 3am imac decided that I had overloaded the audio capabilities of Pro logic 8 due to over use of effects and plugins. Bouncing took three attempts for the same reason. Finding a video with a decent quality and putting it all together took all of half and hour... If you don't like it, well, thats you son!

*No samples were abused in the making of this remix

DASAFO

Normally I can think of something witty to go along with a post, or maybe a funny anecdote from days gone by. Today I have nothing, serioulsy, my mind is a blank. The only two things I am thinking is one, how am I going to get my hands on the Moog Phatty, and two, he does look like T Pain init...

Brand new Sway Mercedes Benze out now on his new album. No doubt this will be getting a lot of reloads (guilty) and please, if you're an MC and your gonna do a remix make a bloody effort with your bars, just because the beats kicking don't mean your 16 is... Sway on the other-hand has his game face on tight....

FYI - He's just finished a tune with Lemar's cuz, which I haven't got my free copy of yet and watch out for the UK tour, I hear Akon dollar's isn't the only thing thats going to make it stand out!

*Note - sorry bout the fact its a radio rip with no video, soon as its done I'll update it, check out his myspace, but dont kiss his ass, he's got a big enough head as it is!

**Note sample is from '45  King (aka Mark James - aka Jay z's Hard Knock Life), 900 Number'... As if you needed me to tell you...

HE GO EGO

The new B ft Yeezy - Ego. Its nice they went back to the minimal style on this record, should be a smooth climber...

JENNY OF THE BEAT

I hate the term 'female producer', really, what should it matter whether you're male or female! It really dosen't, but the truth is, we did dominate the industry 10 years ago when software and plugins were unavailable to the masses. Now days things have changed a long way, and thank God.

Meet Goldy. She's from Leeds (I know, I couldn't believe people actually lived and breathed outside of London either!). Her beats really speak for themselves. When I first encountered her about a year ago she was on that Bass-line sound. I never really liked B-L but her work (no ass kissing obviously) actually made it interesting to listen, which I never thought was possible.

After her B-L dabble she went back to her J Dilla roots and came back with an array of funky soulful vibes which would go down well on any ipod playlist. The other thing that struck me most about Goldy (which unless you're a producer, you probably wouldn't appreciate) is her skill as well as talent. Mix wise she has her sound scape down to a T'. Every producer has their own mix style and preference to where certain elements of the piece sit, and where her strengths lie is in the fact that she doesn't go OTT with the base or allow the snare or high hat to run away with itself. Her samples are also spot on, clipping her audio sections discreetly with little sign of 'over' or 'under cuts'.

At only 18 she's giving producers much older than her a run for their money and considering she's improving month by month it will definitely be interesting to hear her work in a few years time from now. I predict she will only get better and more dangerous with her productions. Artists and other companies will have to listen closely because as we all know, the whack piano man's are getting weeded out, which is great for the rest us and also means no more half hearted 'I need to get the bills paid' productions, or worse still those 'yeah man that beats tight (but it really isn't)' productions.

Check out '90's' and 'Funk Soul' on her myspace...

Other female producers you should already be aware of....

WHAT DOES A GUY WITH A GIRLS NAME END UP DOING FOR A LIVING?

This....

His name is Peabe and I strongly recommend you read up on why his work looks so interesting and well "Zombie-esque".

TOODLE-LOO MUTHA*@&%£^

Films are a great way to see what professional producers and composers are coming with, and to also find out what will get accepted by commercial production professionals, obviously. So its a good excuse to get a few tickets and mates down to the big screen and pass it off on your tax return as business expense. 1-0 to me Gordon Brown!

The Hangover is a very funny film. I wouldn't say it's the funniest because lets be honest, only some of us would be able to relate to some of the stuff in that movie... yeah right! There are so many stories I wish I could write about but it's so hard getting dates these days I wouldn't want to put anyone off before I even get to hello...

Its in cinemas now (she obviously isn't)..

P.s To understand the title of this post you will have to go see the film...

S.K.O.T.W

These are the bad boys of any studio kit hands down. Fair enough they are very pricy and I wouldn't recommend shifting through your record collection, heading down to Bricklane market and shotting a crate to undeserving passersby, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. The Beats (by Dr Dre) are a mind field of intense sound replication and provide great mixing capabilities for those late night sessions where waking the neighbours is not an option. I also use them for DJ'ing now as well... Oh, and little posing doesn't hurt...

If you do happen to see me out and about with my pair and want to try them, just ask nicely, I don't bite, but try to run? You will lose your arms in legs in 'an unexplained and prolonged attack'.

V.O.T.D

Its a bloody good job Nelly didn't do a 'I wanna be a Rapstar' version. Some things in life were just ment to be as they are, like krispy kreme, Glastonbury and wet-look leggings...some things are not made for reinvention...

I have to keep this brief and simple because I'm suffering from a really bad cold at the minute and my runny nose has got the potential of rendering my mac book inactive.

Brought to you by Soundcrash...

Top Tip: Cargo is always rammed so get there early or your date is going to start crying because nothing you organise goes through!

V.O.T.D

If I have to explain to you why this is video of the day then me thinks this is probably not the blog for you...

Also let me take this opportunity to share my gratitude for the simple fact that 'The One Mos Def-initely' finished his latest album and is in stores NOW!! After a few bad spells I can almost guarantee 'The Ecstatic' will be doing a lot of favours to the real hip hop community. Some of you may be interested to know Chad Hugo produced a track (not Pharrell, Chad!). J Dilla (RIP), Madlib and his younger brother Oh No also got in on the action. And if you didn't know, these guys all go way way way back, way way back.

For now I'll leave you with the V.O.T.D and on the flip Mr Mos talks a little about the album...
