DAVINCHE FT CLEO SOL - HERO

The UK has definitely been upping its game since last year on all fronts. Here is DaVinche's new track featuring the amazing talent (and wet look leggings) of Cleo Sol. Both have been around the scene for more than a hot minute and this time I'm pretty sure radio is going to overly love this track.

This track is absolutely amazing. I really love the video and its great that someone behind the scene's has taken the time out to do the hard work and make sure it didn't come out like another AKA botch job. Beat, killing it with the drops and heavy synths. And what can I say about Cleo? well she definitely has the future package. With a voice and swagger that many women would kill for, but a sweetness that deters the haters. And yes, her frekles are very cute indeed (thank you mr editing team for not air brushing!)

Watch out for furture remixes from a bunch of other UK remixers and producers, but for now, feast your eyes and ears.

MARY J BLIGE FT DRAKE 'THE ONE' ERIKI-MA REMIX

Cut a long story short, I heard this brand new Mary J track and thought, mmm, what about a remix. So thats just what I did.

Btw, a free download will be available soon, so watch this post for info.

If you want to holla at us for anything else, you know what to do.

Oh, and because it's not about dumping on Mary J, I'll even post her original track by Dark child first.

BUS A BUS: WORLD GO ROUND!

This is the brand new joint from Busta Rhymes ft the ever ecclectic Estelle.

On a real, no ass kissing, the man is deffinately back on true form after a few flop releases. No names. I'm really liking this joint and the funny lyrics and crazy flow is something I think will go down well in the clubs.

The video is directed by Jason Goldwatch who has worked with a few other hip hop names such as Dilated Peoples and Ludacris, to name but a few. Sick is an understatement. Visually stunning, perfect editing and a great use of effects and cut sequences to meld one whole piece together.

Now some insider info you may not know. If you listen closely you will hear that the beat sounds very similar to a great classic. And your right. It sounds dangerously similar to Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics. And you wouldn't be wrong in assuming this. Basically what happened was, a talented artist by the name of Mamie Gun was the first owner of this actual beat for her remake of Sweet Dreams, but the exec's thought they would make more money by selling the piece off to Busta Rhymes who also loved it when he got a copy through the post. Funny how the insider dealings work out huh! Well lets hope Mamie gets her dues because this is one track that I'll be playing for a while in my clubs.

enjoy!

D.O.A

So the music video is finally here.

Enjoy!

IT'S A BIRD, IT'S A PLANE

New single and video from one of UK's finest, Wretch 32.

Wretch has been a very busy boy of late. New album, new single and a new clothing line. Ok, maybe the clothing side isn't the most original and outstanding stuff compared with some of the other underground 'nitch' brands such as 'Trapstar' and 'Dope Chef Currency', but everyone has to start somewhere right?

Anyways, this is his new single. It's not like I'm getting paid to post it up, I just like it! Simple's

V.O.T.D

If I have to explain to you why this is video of the day then me thinks this is probably not the blog for you...

Also let me take this opportunity to share my gratitude for the simple fact that 'The One Mos Def-initely' finished his latest album and is in stores NOW!! After a few bad spells I can almost guarantee 'The Ecstatic' will be doing a lot of favours to the real hip hop community. Some of you may be interested to know Chad Hugo produced a track (not Pharrell, Chad!). J Dilla (RIP), Madlib and his younger brother Oh No also got in on the action. And if you didn't know, these guys all go way way way back, way way back.

For now I'll leave you with the V.O.T.D and on the flip Mr Mos talks a little about the album...

THE BIG WHITE HYPE

I'm all about getting exclusives and bringing you in on that new ish, but I do have to be honest, if you're not already on Asher Roth, wake up!

You've probably seen the youtube videos, been to website, heard the radio bits and bobs.

He's the most unlikeliest rapper like TQ was the unlikeliest singer (remember him? I bet like me when you first saw him you thought he was going to spit bars and then sang, shockers!).

Asher on the other hand is way beyond hype though. Currently signed to Universal subsidiary SRC Records (the same people that brought you Akon, go figure), he's been around the block and then some. We first heard him back in 2008 on 'The GreenHouse Effect' mixtape (DJ Drama + Don Cannon). Now I could go on forever about the same things everyone is banging on about in the magazines, online and video clips, but what's the use, listen, enjoy, then form your own opinion.

Check out his new album 'Asleep In The Bread Isle'. Some major tunes on it and some surprise guests as well... Beanie (ahem!).

Here are a few of our favourite Asher Roth moments. Now go google him, youtube him and let the good times roll.

TALIB AND ME GO WAY BACK SON!

For those of you that don't know, and i assume this is very few of you. Tonight is the T.K night at the Camden Centre. Hosted by the Spin Doctor himself, its guaranteed to a smasher. Now i'm not going to explain who Kweli is, because if you don't know, and i mean know as good as the back of your hand, then tonight is not for you. Not a hate thing, just fact...

I'm gonna leave you one of the classic tracks. True fans don't class this as an old skool joint because it gets a resurrection every afternoon on the tube ride home, ya heard!

V.O.T.D

This is one of my favourite Kanye West tracks and video's as well. Ok Flashing lights is the fav K. Yeezy video, but we wont get into that...

D.O.A? YES PLEASE

Now many of you would obviously be aware that since Lil Wayne came out with Lollipop, things got abit OTT with the use of auto tune. Well, Mr Hova has stepped in to help a brother out and tell those singing rappers what the deal really is... 'R'

I've also hooked you up by finding a youtube video with the lyrics so you can sing along at home :) love!
